The weekend bag I wish I had bought years ago

Let me be honest about who is writing this.

I have owned more weekend bags than I care to admit. Soft holdalls that lost their shape, bags with handles that became uncomfortable after ten minutes, and the usual black bags that all seem to look exactly the same.

So when I found a quilted weekend bag that looked completely different and actually seemed practical, I was curious.

After using it for a few trips, I realised that the difference was not just how it looked. It was the small practical details that made packing and travelling easier.

1. It does not look like every other weekend bag

5. There is a size for the way you actually travel

Not every weekend away is the same.

Sometimes you need a compact bag for one night. Other times you want enough room for several outfits, shoes and everything else you might need.

Having different sizes means you can choose the amount of space that suits your trip instead of trying to make one bag work for everything.

6. It gets used even when you are not travelling

This might be my favourite part.

A good weekend bag does not need to spend most of its life at the back of a cupboard.

It can be used for the gym, an overnight stay, visiting family, a short break, a day out or simply whenever you need to carry more than your everyday handbag can manage.
